The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) announced that Eversource has received their 2018 ENERGY STAR® Partner of the Year Sustained Excellence Award in New Hampshire for continued leadership in energy efficiency and commitment to the ENERGY STAR program.

"It is an honor to be recognized by the EPA and DOE for our energy efficiency efforts in New Hampshire," said Eversource Senior Vice President and Chief Customer Officer Penni Conner. "Our energy efficiency programs and services are connecting customers to solutions for savings and helping them lead more energy-efficient lives. The ENERGY STAR program has been a great partner with us in this effort and we will continue to collaborate with them to create a more sustainable future for our customers."

Eversource, a proud sponsor of NHSaves, was recognized for its ENERGY STAR Homes Program in New Hampshire, which offers innovative training and support for homebuilders during the construction, certification, and completion of their homes. Since 2002, the program has helped over 7,000 New Hampshire homes receive their ENERGY STAR certification.

"Our partnership with Eversource and ENERGY STAR has had a significant impact on our ability to build homes that will over time help new homeowners manage their energy use and costs," said San-Ken Homes Owner Kenneth Lehtonen. "This program also ensures our ENERGY STAR rated homes are affordable for our buyers, empowering more people to invest in a home that will provide their family with a more comfortable living environment, as well as to help the planet."

In addition to its recognition in New Hampshire, Eversource was awarded the Sustained Excellence Award for its energy efficiency work in Connecticut and Massachusetts.

Eversource - along with fellow New Hampshire utilities Liberty Utilities, NH Electric Cooperative, and Unitil - will be recognized by the EPA and DOE at a ceremony in Washington, D.C. on April 20, 2018.
