Advanced energy markets are bigger than ever, representing a $1.4 trillion global industry. The Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) recent Market Trends Survey respondents rated the adoption of cost effective renewables, climate change and global warming as the most critical trends shaping the energy efficiency market. AEE seeks to further explore these topics along with energy industry leaders at the World Energy Engineering Congress (WEEC), to be held September 27-29 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, GA.
Celebrating its 40th year, the WEEC is the nation's largest energy efficiency conference and exposition to highlight the impact of new technologies and energy policy. The conference features over 220 speakers, with Paul Bowers, President and CEO of Georgia Power headlining the Opening Session along with Special Guest, President George W. Bush, 43rd President of the United States and Founder of the George W. Bush Presidential Center. Among the highlights of this year's featured speakers include:
As a complement to the conference program, the WEEC expo will display technologies helping commercial, industrial, and institutional customers save on their energy costs, upgrading their facilities with innovative solutions, and implementing new or retrofit construction projects which will help drive the new clean energy economy and jobs.
Professional training seminars eligible for CEU, LU, and PDH credits will be held in conjunction with the event, covering energy auditing, energy efficiency updates, existing building commissioning, fundamentals of water efficiency and more, for a full schedule of available training opportunities, visit www.energycongress.com/seminars
Event sponsors include Trane, Southern Company, Yamaha, U. S. Department of Energy's Better Buildings, Better Plants, WSP, SolXEnergy, and Toyota, among others.
