Basa Resources, Inc. Signs Renewal Contract with SUEZ Energy Resources

SUEZ Energy Resources NA, the U.S. retail energy business of SUEZ Energy North America, announced that Basa Resources, Inc., one of Texas’ Top 20 oil producers, has chosen to renew its contract with SUEZ Energy Resources. SUEZ Energy will continue to provide the company’s electricity through 2014. SUEZ Energy’s original contract with Basa will expire in mid 2009.

In a very competitive proposal process, SUEZ Energy came out on top of all its competitors, and as a result, will provide electricity service to Basa Resources electric accounts with a peak demand of over 25 MW in the Oncor territory. The accounts serve oil and gas wells located in West Texas.

"We chose to continue our relationship with SUEZ Energy Resources to supply electricity to our major accounts in West Texas because the company's proposal provides the best combination of cost and service for our needs there," said Mike Foster, president, Basa Resources, Inc. "Customer service is important to us, which is why we have chosen to stick with an energy company that consistently responds."

SUEZ Energy Resources’ renewed contract with Basa further demonstrates its commitment to customers. “We are very pleased to foster this continued relationship with Basa Resources,” said Michel Sirat, president and CEO, SUEZ Energy Resources. “We pride ourselves on our competitive pricing, strong products and dedicated service. As a result, we continue to build and maintain strong relationships like this one with our entire customer base.”

SUEZ Energy Resources NA currently serves commercial and industrial customers in nine states: Texas, Massachusetts, Maine, Maryland, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Illinois, Connecticut and also Washington, D.C. The company serves commercial and industrial customers with peak demands ranging from 50 KW to more than 200 MW.
