A subclass of residential and possibly commercial energy customers which covers buildings capable of housing multiple families or businesses (e.g. apartment buildings, condominiums, strip malls, office buildings). Multi-occupancy billing provides each occupant on the site with a separate bill. The owner or manager of the site may alternately choose to be billed as a single customer, and it is then up to that party to recoup energy costs from individual tenants.
