The control panel, usually a switching station's control panel, on which the main switch and related equipment are mounted. Historically meters have the largest components on the panel, thus the name, but a meter board doesn't necessarily need to have meters or gauges to be referred to by this term. Newer meter boards may feature built-in computer screens in place of actual meters.
