An agreement reached between BC Hydro, the Bonneville Power Administration, and several other US utilities for coordinating the operation of dams in the upper Columbia River basin. These dams play an important role in the production of hydroelectricity in both Canada and the US. The Columbia River is considered a vital resource to both nations, so coordination of water flow along this river is a shared responsibility.
