circuit (CKT)

A complete path through which electricity flows. As the term implies, circuits tend to be circular in design, but the starting point for electricity is not the same as the end point. It only appears so with most circuits because the start point and end point are usually located close together. A circuit can be created between any two points if there is available electricity at one of the points and a clear path for it to travel to the opposite point. Electricity will only flow continuously if a circuit exists, and it must be a complete circuit.
