One of five US federal energy marketing agencies that produce and transmit low-cost electric energy to agricultural and municipal customers. The BPA covers Idaho, Oregon, Washington, and parts of Wyoming and Nevada. Energy exports from BC Hydro to the north are coordinated with the BPA's power system, but unlike its northern neighbor, BC Hydro, the BPA does not sell energy directly to end users.
