CEE is a data-driven, consumer-focused, and community-based clean energy nonprofit with locations in the North Loop of Minneapolis and St. Paul's Midway. For nearly 40 years, CEE has collaborated with utilities, governments, nonprofits, and businesses to deliver actionable research and innovative programs that reduce energy waste and harmful emissions. We're proud to operate in Minnesota, a national leader in clean energy and energy efficiency.
Our staff includes creative and pragmatic environmentalists, program developers and implementers, engineers and technical experts and research professionals. Our quirky “bring your dog to work” organizational culture is professional but easy-going, with a deep emphasis on collaboration, innovation, and technical expertise.
The mechanical engineer is responsible for analysis of the energy use of systems from both a field and design perspective. The majority of the work is in buildings of all kinds (residential, commercial, and industrial). The engineer will both lead engineering based energy efficiency projects for CEE's clients, and support other internal and external projects that require measurement, analysis, and verification of energy use. These projects range from single day studies to 9 month long recommissioning projects that produce an ASHRAE Level III audit report. These projects require review of client documents (plans and specifications), field monitoring data, and financial analysis of recommendations. CEE's engineers assist other department, especially research and new program development with their experience based recommendations and creative ideas.
Dependent upon qualifications and experience.
