The electrical engineer will be responsible for the testing of hybrid power and energy storage systems.  This includes destructive and non-destructive testing for the safety certification of battery systems, evaluation of advanced AC and DC power systems, and development of new test methods and protocols.  Associated duties also include technical documentation, drafting specifications and standards, and preparing test plans.  Candidates should have a broad range of experience in areas such as energy storage; lithium batteries; power electronics; low-voltage and high-voltage DC power; utility, renewable, hybrid, electrical, and electrochemical sources; and automation, test equipment, instrumentation, and data acquisition systems.

Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university, and have at least 5 years of experience in the electrical engineering field.  Good oral and written communication skills are essential to this position, as is experience with software applications such as Office, Labview, and MatLab.  The job seeker must be a U.S. citizen and eligible for a government security clearance.  Successful application for a Department of Defense security clearance is required before an offer of employment can be made.
