Job Details:

 The City of Oakland is currently recruiting to fill one ENERGY ENGINEER III vacancy within the Oakland Public Works Department. Under general supervision in the Oakland Public Works (OPW) Department, provides professional engineering expertise for the City's energy goals for its facilities, including analyzing energy use and developing and implementing energy saving and renewable energy modifications to existing and proposed City facilities; supervises, trains, and evaluates assigned staff; and performs related duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in electrical and/or mechanical engineering, PLUS Three years of professional experience as a mechanical or electrical engineer including the design and installation of energy efficient electrical and mechanical systems. One year of experience in a lead or supervisory capacity is desirable. A valid State of California license as a Registered Professional Mechanical or Electrical Engineer is required to be considered for this position. Salary: $9,443.37 - $11,594.91 monthly.
